Two Pirates Walk Onto a Ship… 🏴☠️
Not the start of a bad joke — the start of a very real mess. 2 Player Red Blue Pirates doesn’t bother with long introductions. You and your friend spawn, the deck is already rocking, and before you can even say “let’s work together,” somebody’s firing the cannon.
It’s chaos from second one. You can team up, sure. Work side by side, gather treasure, defend the ship from incoming threats. But if you’ve ever played with someone who “accidentally” pushes you into the water… well, you know where this is going.
The Sea Is Not Your Friend 🌊
This isn’t a calm cruise. The waves tilt the deck just enough to mess with your jumps. Sometimes, the ocean looks calm — and then a swell hits and you’re sliding toward the edge, scrambling to grab something. And if you fall in? It’s not over, but you’re in trouble.
Half the time, the sea feels like a third player — one that doesn’t care which team you’re on.
Working Together… Until You Don’t 🤝
You’ll try being cooperative at first. One pirate on steering, the other loading the cannons. Or maybe both of you raiding nearby islands for treasure. And that works… for a while.
But then one of you sees a glittering chest and decides, “Why share?” Next thing you know, you’re swinging swords at each other while the ship drifts straight into danger.
Controls You Can’t Ignore 🎮
On PC, Player 1 moves with WASD and attacks with a chosen key, Player 2 uses the arrow keys and their own attack button. There’s a jump, a grab, a swing — and yes, you will mash them in panic more than once.
It’s simple enough that you can pick it up instantly, but that’s the trick — the real skill is timing. Jump too early, you miss the rope swing. Swing too late, and your opponent has already swiped the loot.
Maps Full of “Who Put That There?” Moments 🗺️
Some levels have moving platforms over the water. Others have treasure chests in spots that look reachable… until you try. There are hazards that seem small until they send you flying across the deck.
Every stage feels like it’s daring you to be just a little too confident. And most of the time, you take the bait.
The Joy of Petty Victory 😏
Winning here doesn’t always mean having the most treasure. Sometimes it’s just about pulling off the perfect sabotage. Watching your friend line up the perfect jump, only to nudge them mid-air so they fall straight into the sea? Priceless.
Of course, they’ll get you back. And you’ll deserve it.
