Weird From the Start

Gameplay That Breaks the Mold

You pick between Mario Luigi Toad and Peach. Each with their own weird strengths. Luigi jumps like a goat on Red Bull. Peach can float like she’s on vacation. Toad’s fast and angry. Mario is... average Mario. You run through strange dreamlike levels full of Shy Guys vases and doors that go nowhere.

No power-ups like fire flowers here. Instead you rip plants from the ground and weaponize turnips like a maniac. Bosses include a mouse with bombs a birdo that spits eggs and a frog king that literally swims in his own ego.

Things That Will Make You Say Huh

Random rocket ships that launch you into... slightly different platforms
Egg-spitting dinosaurs that might be your friend? Maybe?

The music that somehow slaps AND haunts

Why Even Play This

Because it’s weird and iconic and fun in the most “what is happening” way. Every level throws new mechanics and visuals at you like the developers were just free-styling. You’ll carry keys while dodging angry floating masks or stack enemies like a pancake tower to reach a ledge.

The stages are dreamlike the logic is broken and the charm is 11/10. You’re not playing to win. You’re playing to witness whatever madness is coming next.

Vibes Check: Maximum Surreal

This game doesn’t care about rules. It’s got that fever dream energy like someone tried to remix Mario with a Japanese art film and a pile of plush toys. The colors are wild. The enemies are weirder. The mechanics are delicious nonsense.

It feels like a lost cartoon from an alternate dimension. And we LOVE that.

Picking Luigi for the jump height then falling into pits because he’s too floaty
Getting bodied by egg projectiles from Birdo for the 14th time
That one desert level where you have to ride a magic carpet while being chased by literal pain

But honestly? The pain is worth the aesthetics.
